Omar, fueled by a passion for musical theater, courageously redirected his career from a Communications degree and a Masters in Marketing to pursue his daydream. His journey includes workshops with international luminaries and a course in Theater and physical movement in Madrid, Spain, showcasing his commitment to honing his craft globally. From there, he leapt into professional Musical Theater in Mexico City before graduating from the Musical Theater conservatory at AMDA.
Always donning a smile, Omar thrives on challenges, seeing them as opportunities for growth. His belief in the richness within each person and his eagerness to learn from others reflect a positive and open-minded approach to life. Inspired by role models like Mauricio Martinez and Sofia Vergara, Omar is determined to pave the way for future queer Latinx performers in New York. His inspiring journey emphasizes that pursuing your daydream, coupled with education and a positive mindset, can lead to a fulfilling and inclusive career in the performing arts.
